I wanted something that tracks where I spend my time. I've tried various apps to do it, but nothing clicked. I often forget to stop the timers.

Found the sweet spot for it in Roam. I use it for Interstitial Journaling already. So I built a plugin which analyses those logs and gives me a summary of my time in the current week.

How to use

  • Install the plugin. Create a {{[[roam/js]]}} block and under it, copy the code for the plugin. Click on Yes, I know what I'm doing button. Reload Roam.
  • Create a block called [[Day log shortnames]] which will help you add small keys for the tasks you want to track
  • Now you can start writing your entries under [[Day Log]]. Please make sure the entries are nested under this block.
  • The entries should be of the format starttime - endtime task-shortname: and your description
  • And at the end of the week, you can type --ws anywhere to see the summary of your time.

If you pay for this and end up not getting value from it, just email or DM on Twitter and I'll refund your money. ⭐️
